Fiat Sedici

Good:

4WD, looks, rear space

Not so Good:

Price, driving experience, interior trim

Overall:

It's an odd one, this. The Fiat Sedici is built by Suzuki in Hungary, yet only the Sedici comes complete with 4WD across the range - the Suzuki SX4 only offers it as an option.

As a package, neither car quite works, with the Sedici offering an unsatisfying drive and questionable value for money. On the positive side, it looks quite chunky and it'll certainly do its best to get you out of the, er, mud should you feel the urge to go cross-country. We reckon that, as a result, it'll find itself a market in rural areas where greasy roads and the odd patch of ice mean 4x4s are viewed as a necessity, rather than a luxury. In town, though - forget it.

Our advice if you absolutely HAVE to have a micro SUV? Buy a Panda 4x4 and save yourself around £3K. After all, how often do you need to transport more than two adults across a muddy field?
