Alfa Romeo launches the Cloverleaf Club

At a time when most manufacturers rely on fans to start and run owners’ clubs, Alfa Romeo – with its dedicated following of Alfisti – has decided to reward new drivers with a three-year membership to the 'Cloverleaf Club'.

Alfa Romeo launches the Cloverleaf Club

The four leaf clover, or Quadrifoglio, was adopted by the company during its early motor racing history. Since 1923, all of its racing cars and exclusive models have carried the lucky symbol, and now it has been chosen as the emblem of Alfa Romeo’s newly formed members’ club.

Among the benefits of being a member of the Alfa Romeo Cloverleaf Club are access to the unique Cloverleaf Club web site, advance information on new models, a chance to win unique prizes, a free subscription to Alfa Romeo’s FEEL magazine, exclusive track days, discounted holidays, official merchandise and a member’s forum.

To celebrate the launch of the club, the Italian sporting car manufacturer recently commissioned a national survey to find the luckiest charm. The four leaf clover topped an 863-strong subscriber poll with 51% of the vote, ahead of the horseshoe (32%), wishbone (9%), penny coin (5%) and rabbit’s foot (3%) – a fortuitous result indeed!

Marketing Director at Alfa Romeo UK, Nicholas Bernard, says: “Being an Alfa Romeo driver isn’t simply about owning the car. It’s about the heritage, the emotion, the passion and so much more. Alfa Romeo drivers are part of our extended family and we want them to enjoy their decision to drive an Alfa.

“Our poll suggests that a majority of British people regard the four leaf clover as the luckiest charm of all. It’s our ambition to make Alfa drivers feel lucky and well looked after.”
