The Geneva Motor Show, held in early March each year, is the first chance for us Europeans to see what the motoring industry has been keeping up its sleeves over the winter. The show never fails to surprise - and so it proved in 2010.
Our ten-minute video of some of the highlights of the show includes the eagerly-awaited Audi A1 (pictured), the next Ford Focus (including the World debut of the next Focus estate) and - one of the surprises of the show - the reveal of the SEAT IB-E electric concept.
Electric propulsion - in a number of forms - was a central theme of the 2010 show and it wasn't just SEAT that were shouting about their plans for battery-powered cars. The quirky Honda U3-X 'unicycle', the GM Ampera and Chevy Volt and the Peugeot BB1 all featured, as did a new, two-cylinder petrol engine from Fiat that'll apparently return over 70mpg and emit under 95 g/km of CO2.
But, as well as the future-technology stuff, there were new cars aplenty. Nissan showed both the new Juke and the next Micra, while the Lexus stand featured both the first 'baby' Lexus, the CT200h, and the stunning LFA supercar. Volvo's latest S60 broke cover, as did the new VW Sharan, the Audi RS5 and the MINI Countryman.
Enjoy!
